Find someone who can go into your woods and count and mark all marketable trees. Whatever it costs you will get back three fold. I had a logger offer me $10,000 for my trees. I asked how many and he wouldn't answer me. I found a guy who counted and marked trees for the industry and he came up with 501 marketable trees , his report was sent out to all mills and log buyers, I took an offer of $ 38,000 and met the logger and received the check before they stepped on my property. IT cost me $250 to have this man count and mark , the best $250 I ever spent ! You can easily get taken by loggers who short you stumps and board feet.
