To be honest it doesn't seem like any companies fixed the big common problems.I know of people with up to 2012 dodges that had tranny problems on top of their loose front ends and being more prone to rust,and the newer hemis had lifter failure,but I believe that has been resolved.GM is known for terrible diesel engines,loose steering,not the best brakes,and in the late 90s/early 2000's they had rust something awful,even worse than dodge.Fords were always a lot tighter of a truck,and didn't get near as rusty with age as GM or Dodge,and obviously the newer f150s are aluminum,so rust is almost unheard of.The only problems ford ever really had,was the brakes needed replacing more than other trucks.I would rather replace the brakes every couple of years then deal with other major problems,but that's just me.
