I had a Holstein cow once get her head trapped between two trees that were growing from the same stump. When I brought the cows in for milking she wasn�t there, so I went looking for her. There she stood, just like in a stanchion. I couldn�t get her to lift her head up to free herself, so I ended up getting an axe and chopping down the smaller of the two trees. Both trees were over 18 inches across. I later walked through the little bush on the edge of the pasture and found a couple more trees that a cow could get caught in , and cut them down.
