Well the Burr Mill has two cast iron plates with points casted in them,Their usually 6,8, or 10inch that i have seen, the grain gets funneled in between them,while their turning,not quite as much dust as a hammer mill,But i would say the flour for whole wheat bread looks like to me it been threw a Burr Mill,Like for Millet and other hard seeds, it does a good job, but slower, and doesn't heat the flour up as much as a Hammer mill. The Hammer mill doesn't have any mercy on any thing that goes in the chute,and gets reground until it falls threw the screen!
