I'm glad to hear that the M-M's did get into your part of the country. My guess is that they may have been from the BF Avery acquisition and probably used for cultivating tobacco or maybe cotton. Did you know of any of the bigger M-M's in your area?
Among my eclectic collection of Fords and Farmalls, I have 2 MMs: a ZB, and a UB Special. Both are runners, but neither has its Sunday clothes yet. Currently I'm working on a 1945 Farmall H with my grandson, so the Molines are scheduled to get better looking when the H is done. Unfortunately our winter weather has already set in with cold and wind, ice and snow, so working in the non-heated shop/barn is not happening. I envy your November weather. Beautiful!
