From what I see the solenoid can be removed BUT it must be replaced with an adjustable power jet needle.

If you suspect the solenoid is not fully retracting, it may need to be replaced or substitute the adjustable needle. Or it may just need to be backed out some to richen it up a bit.
A good way to set the power jet is to have the engine warmed up, and at slow idle, then suddenly open the throttle and listen for the response. If it stumbles, back the jet adjustment out 1/4 turn. Keep repeating the test until it will take sudden throttle without hesitation. A single puff of black smoke is desirable.
Of course this should be done only after everything else is adjusted and as best you can get it.
