If you have to pick one or the other,the 656 is the best choice.The 656 is around 65 hp,the 460 is around 50.The 460s had problems with the rear ends when they first came out,but 99% of them have been fixed and are great tractors as well regardless of what people might try to tell you.I assume these are both gas tractors,so you want to make sure they ran low ash oil in the motor.What really matters is which is in best overall condition,and that is what your choice should be based upon.They are both good reliable tractors when taken care of like anything else.
