Seems to me that some time ago, Chris explained that so-called modern view was actually older than classic view.
Then there is this thing with compatibility to phones. Special characters and all. I fail to see why we need much more than text, pictures, and punctuation to conduct a forum. The extra "bells and whistles" only serve to create more problems than they solve.
Then there is the issue of who runs this system - for free to users.
Personally, I think we should all step back and stop trying to tell our hosts how to run their system. Instead, we should be thanking them for making this valuable resource available to us at no cost.
