The gear is steady & not being held by the pump. There is another disk with 3 tapped holes that bolts up to the gear. Gear is slotted so timing can be adjusted This disk is what drives the pump & the pump shaft is stuck in it. I will be getting a brass rod to try & smack it on the end to free it. I took the lock washer off & put the nut back on. I don't want to risk a fire by heating it as I am alone in a wheel chair. I will take my time as the engine is stuck. I am soaking the pistons with ATF.
