I always take and when the tank is empty put plugs in the tankle and put like 2 too 5 pounds of air to it and then spray with soap water and it will show the leak with it bubbles. I weld the tanks to fix them and they make some tank repair kits now instead of braise or welding. You will still have to clean it up good and then aply the patch.check with them shops on what they use to fix them I know that they make a kit for big trucks.
