We have 6 worn out chickens of different breeds. I figure a dozen eggs cost around 6-8 dollars. Time to drop 22.00 for another 50 ponds of chicken feed. On the subject of chickens. The hens were making a racket last night. I found an opossum in the hen house. I left it there, it was only 1/2 grown. All the hens were still there in the morning. They must not be meat eaters.
