We are fortunate to have a very good starter generator shop locally (50 miles) who have been in business for several decades. On numerous occasions I have taken them a generator or starter to check/repair and they know I am out of town so they usually will make an effort to get it taken care of while I do other business. They are well known in the community for their good work. Reasonable prices, too. 30-40 years ago there were two mag shops in one of our local towns. Now there are none. Just hope they can continue the shop after the current owner/operator retires. Too many independent places just sell out or close down when the owner retires or gets too old to continue the operation. Be thankful for them while we can.
