Is there a solenoid on the back/rear of the carburetor? This will sound strange, but try giving it 1/2 choke as you crank it and shove the choke in once it runs. Dad had a 2020 gas that, from the day it was new, needed some choke to start with a hot engine on a 90 degree day. It would run like a top once you got it started.
