Typically when a system totally looses all electrical, it involves the basic circuitry from the battery to the main accessory feed.
You will need a test light or volt meter.
If you can, turn on any electrical accessories, the engine run solenoid, anything to put a load on the electrical system.
Start at the battery posts themselves, not the cable ends, but the posts.
Once you establish there is voltage there, that determines there is some battery current to work with. Then start systematically moving one meter/test light lead at a time until you find where the power stops.
Once you trace power to the starter solenoid, you will find a smaller wire doubled under the positive battery cable stud. Start tracing that wire. It will feed the amp meter (if equipped) and the rest of the electrical system. There is often a fuse link in this wire. If something shorted to ground it will have taken out the fuse link. If the fuse link is burned, look for a shorted wire.
