The Be it ever so humble... posts only happen 2 or 3 times a week. There is also the Must be Monday, Tuesday Truck Pic, Rust Pic, and the newest, Caption this.

Originally there was just the daily Tractor Pic, which still is and always will be ONLY tractors. Then some folks wanted other than shiny, restored tractors, so "Extra" Pics was born. And then someone wanted rusty tractors, so Rust Pics came about. Do all of these long enough and it can become quite challenging to keep finding pics that haven't already been used in past posts. I also try to avoid using pics from past YT posts, which cuts down dramatically on potential pics.

Then the COVID stuff started and gregww started posting a puzzle now and then. I though that would be a good addition for folks, so started adding puzzle links for anyone wanting to work them. And then I kept coming across lots of other pics that, while not 'directly' related to tractors, still had to do with memories of yesteryear on the farm. No, not everyone on YT is or grew up on a farm. I'm one of those who didn't. Still, it's nice for folks to reminisce on past memories; old barns, farmhouses, daily chores, etc. The response has been positive all this time.

As for why they don't end up on the OT section......well, this is where I post pics. As mentioned, they all started out as tractors-only, but other pics were added by request. And if these were posted on the OT forum, they would disappear within a few short days, and there have been several who have replied saying that they don't log in to YT very often, and they enjoy being able to go back and see prior pics and work previous puzzles.

I'm sorry if this bothers you, but it seems to be working well for everyone else. Unless there are others who wish the non-tractor pics were moved to the OT forum, they'll continue being posted here.

And lastly, the reason "I" would prefer to keep posting them here is, by posting them in one place, it's easier for me to keep track of what I'm doing, which = fewer mistakes on my part. It takes a lot to keep finding all these pics, keeping track of what has been used and what hasn't, some people wanting me to post what each tractor is but so often the information given is wrong, etc, etc, etc. I'm doin' the best I can, and have considered several times trying to find someone to hand it off to, or just stop it altogether. But then someone else will reply how much they enjoy the pics, the memories that they bring back, etc. So I keep posting. I feel it an honor to be able to give back to the YT community, and any "work" I do in keeping them going gets rewarded many times over.
