Currently using a JD 4600 to pull a JD 336 that has had the thrower removed.
Before that, we used an Oliver 62T baler until we killed it when we picked up some metal and the shear bolt failed to work.
Before we got the 4600, we pulled the Oliver with an IH 424 gas tractor. It had the power to do it, but it was hard on it.
In a pinch, we've even been known to use a 1952 Case SC Eagle Hitch tractor to pull that Oliver. Worked fine, except that with but three forward work speeds low was always too slow but 2nd was too fast. We haven't tried it yet, but I don't doubt but what in a pinch that old SC would run the JD 336, too.
