there were changes during production that i assume would affect row crop (farmall) and standard (interenational) tractors equally. the seat back and support was redesigned late '64-early '65. the hyd remote levers were changed from the cast to steel around the same time. some time in '65 they went from the IH made RD pump to a roosamaster. the very early tachometer was black with white letters, no speeds, then it changed to the rainbow style. the 3 point lower arms and leveling screws changed some time '65 or later. the early 361 blocks had separate holes and caps for dipstick and oil fill, the later ones went to one large hole. some time '64-65 they stopped putting a sheet metal heat shield around the exhaust manifold. i believe all of these changes have a known serial number break listed in the appropriate section of the parts manual. as far as quality of manufacture, i've never heard of any deficiencies.
