I've been selling a bunch of smalls this summer thru FB Market place. Have learned about half of the people who say they are coming......don't. To somewhat protect myself, I ask that arrangements be made over the phone rather than the FB Marketplace messengers, as they can be deleted or just avoided. Phone calls are a little tougher to avoid. I also let the person know that if they don't arrive within an hour of the scheduled time, the item will go back for sale, or I'll contact the second in line interested party.
Yup.....folks can easily hide behind their phones/computers these days.
