So to understand your problem clearly, the 3 point rear hitch has three arms that connect to the implement. The lower two I generally refer to as the ..tugs.. and the upper link in the center is generally referred to as the top link. You are saying that the point the top link connects to the tractor is froze up or rusted so solid that it will not let a heavy implement lower? It seems more believable that you saying what is referred to as the rockshaft that has vertical links to the lower ..tugs.. is sticking or won�t lower properly? Or what type of system do you have to limit side sway of the ..tugs..? If they are the side bar type or chains are you sure you don�t have some geometry wrong as far as the attachment point of the swivel to the tractor? That can limit the stroke of the 3 point if they are binding.
