A friend of mine used to grow and thresh some oats at his farm near the road and all were welcome. I was a lot younger then and would help by riding the binder ant when threshing day came I would do a lot of feeding the oats into the old Huber threshing machine. He is gone now and I'm to old and crippled up with these bad hips. His son had a stroke this summer at 53 and hasn't recovered yet so there probably won't be any more of them. There would be close to 100 people show up for it and it was never advertised, people just knew Leo was gonna do it. I sure miss those days.
