I think your getting better than 1.5 gallon per hour, a 6610 has a 21 gallon tank, if you burnt 12 gallons in that 10 hour time it burnt 1.2 gallons per hour.
In 2009 we had a bad ice storm, we were out of power for 10 days, the 75 KW backup gen set for our poultry barns burnt 370 gallons of fuel during that time operating at 24% load, this equaled 37 gallons per day or 1.54 gallons per hour.
Be cold weather we were only using lights and fans providing minimum ventilation, had it been hot weather with max fans operating the fuel use would have be closer to 4-5 gallons per hour.
Luckily we had over 400 gallons in the day tank and outside storage tank when the storm hit because the fuel truck didn't show up till the 10th day 30 minutes after the power came back on, had them fill the tanks anyway just in case the power went back off.
