Why can't you? It's not that hard. Go down below the "reply" box. Down below where it says "advanced posting tools" it will say "upload photos/videos". Click on "choose files" and it should bring up the pics on your computer. Find the one you want and double click on it. It will begin to upload the picture. Wait for it to get finished (it will tell you when the upload is complete). Bingo! You're done!
This is on modern view. Can't vouch for the other one.
