I remember reading about some wealthy man, that owned several business, and one was a dairy processing plant in a small town. He supplied his dairy with milk from his own dairy farm, and every Sunday morning after church, he would stop in and take a trip around his barn to inspect his dairy cows. The cows were tied in stalls around the perimeter of the barn on the second floor. The manure was drop down to the first floor for storage. Each man had 5 cows to milk and feed and care for in all respects. Hay was stored in the centre of the barn. And I guess from the story, at the end of his tour it was worth your job if he found any thing stuck on his shoe. The barn looked just like the barn in the photo.
