First off I have a farmall 300 I use for brush cutting. Here are my experiences. I have an International Machinery Corp. 5 foot 3pt mower I was using. While mowing grass 2 to 3 feet high it worked the snot out of my tractor. Setup correctly and blades sharp. Picked up a used Woods 6 foot 3 pt cheap and replaced some parts. In the same conditions it does not work the tractor nearly as hard as the 5 footer. I have also use a New Idea 7 foot pull type cutter and the tractor also handled that fine. This was all in grass with a little small brush. Obviously heavier thicker brush would be a different story. I would have liked to find a pull type 6 footer but they�re like hens teeth here, and I couldn�t turn down the deal I got on the Woods.
