When I was in drivers ed many years ago I attempted the 3 point turn and got close to the edge of the road. The car would roll toward the ditch if I took my foot off the brake. The car was a manual, 3 on the tree, the instructor said to let the clutch out till I could feel it grab alittle then let off the brake and give it some gas. Well you also need to put it in reverse, so down in the ditch I went much to the delight of a couple of class mates in the back seat. I stop shaking after some time and slowly drove up out of the ditch.
