The power for the digital tach Comes from an oil pressure operated switch on the right rear side of the engine just ahead of the cab. Long ago I bypassed that switch because it is troublesome. When I bypassed it I had to trace the live power wire To its source and run it to a switched power source. The power wire to the oil pressure operated switch was live hot full time, that is why I changed it to switched power. The later models were all powered by switched power. Its been so long ago I dont remember where the power wire connects but it is not too hard to figure out.
