14 ply trailer tires are worth every penny. I have a 28' Load Max gooseneck with 7k axles. Ordered factory with 14 ply tires. Never one bit of tire issues. I travel 70-75 MPH loaded. It has been loaded heavy more than once and none distance at speed when it's hot out. Usually try to keep it fairly legal weight wise doesn't always work that way. China 14 ply trailer tires are still going to hold up better than US made 10 ply, ST or LT series truck tires.
