Ay 14x18 baler will be just fine with either tractor. However,I would prefer to bale with the M.I have baled a lot of hay with a NewHolland425 (16x18) pulled with my SuperM. Handled it just fine.But I was not pulling a wagon.If you pull a wagon,you need the M. Not so much for the power,but for the weight to hold on hills. About the only time the lack of live pto would be an issue is where there are a lot of slugs/large piles of hay that require a lot af stopping and starting.
