look and see what ratings it has. You should see a "C" (compression)rating which is for diesel engines and a "S" (spark)rating. If the "S" rating meets or exceeds the rating required for your tractor you should be good. As others have mentioned the newest and latest "S"oils have charastics to preserve emission components, catalytic convertors to be specific, at the cost of protection for camshafts and flat tappets. If the Rotella T-4 doesn't have the latest "S" rating it may be better for your engine than the newest "S" spec oil.
