Here in Canada, all 54/74/84/95/32xx/42xx series tractors, loaders were connected by removing the hydraulic line(sort of L shaped line) from the top of the Remote Hydraulic control to the Draft control but I believe the US crated units had different remote hydraulic controls, see photo from Caseih.com parts below. Does your 584 have the plate on the end with the plug item #22? The 584s in Canada don't have a plug in the end plate and you have to buy a Power Beyond plate for $$$, so that is the reason in Canada that everyone connects loaders by removing the Draft control line. So you removed the plug and used that as the input to the loader controls? Have you tried the Remote hydraulic lever in the Neutral position? What I don't understand is that if this a true Power Beyond plate with the plug installed the hydraulics would be under load all the time until the Remote Hydraulic lever is pulled.
