We have had success using both vinegar and washing soda (not at the same time, of course) with old tractors. Depends on what's built up in them. We've also used old speaker magnets in the top radiator tank to catch rust chunks that wash out of the block. Grab a "throw away" speaker & salvage the magnet out of it. If it doesn't have a way to attach a "fish wire" to it, just drill a hole in it & put one on it so you can pull it out to clean the junk off. Put it in the radiator so it lays in the top tank on the core. Make sure you can fish it out as needed. If you have to cut it down to get in, it'll still atract the rust. DC or CC Case radiators will accept a pretty big magnet.
