a couple months ago I purchased a couple of those insulators from NH. There were 2 available, the ones for later balers had bigger holes in them. I checked my NH parts with the ceramic inculators and found the baler parts had bigger holes in them. No longer have flat spots on one side. That being said the Heston ones probably have bigger holes in the middle allowing for a knot to get through without hanging up.I have also done as mentioned, rotating them so the grooved side is away from where twine normally rides. I check these twine guides often as I hav found when you are making a tight bale any nike on th twine will often pop when the bale leaves the bale chamber.
