Not designed that way, no easing in or easing off, fast start or stop. Hard on equipment. Sure Ford designed them the same way on the newer tractors as they did on the 65 up 4 & 5000 tractors that I had and I hated that independant PTO setup. Trierd it with the AC 60 combine, went back to the 2 cylinder Deere without live PTO. I wish they had kept the 2 stage clutch of the earlier 4000 as I think it would have been better.
