I have heard there are many recalls on the newer Dodges, particularly with the Hemis. Guy I cut lawn for bought one just this year and it had EIGHT recalls on it right out of the factory. Just too many things I don't like on the new Rams. You can not get extended cab with 6 1/2 ft. bed (only 5 ft. 4 inch). Not sure if you can even custom order a longer bed with extended cab? 20 inch wheels throw too many stones around here (have to special order to get smaller wheels), dial shifter for transmission? Just some strange features that I did not care for at all. A friend has a 2013 1500 with Hemi motor. Says its a lot of upkeep on the motor and the truck has gremlins that just get annoying. They do sound great though and have the power, I'll admit that. Still I was wary of them, I went with an F-150 with the Triton.
