Last one I ran was a JD 3150 on a NH 315 baler. Going way back it was Ford 4000, 4 cylinder model on a ford 532 baler, we also had an early 70's 5000 for a short while, same baler. The back up was an IH 45 that actually worked pretty good, they were definitely not known for that LOL ! I kind of liked the bigger heavier tractors, the 3150 MFWD was really nice on the 315. The other rig for round bales was the much newer JD 7420 and JD 583 sileage special. I used to road it to the fields often, but never got to bale with it, was always on the 315. That set up was pretty nice actually, much newer than anything I had ever been around.
