I have the 12 volt version on my 1951 8N. Works great. Turn the key on, press the starter button and starts immediately. I have adapted two Pertronix units for my gasoline generators. No issues with any of it. Good work, and no more points to worry about. You'll like it. I did have to replace my distributor, however; both the shaft, bushings and advance weight pivots and other wear surfaces were beyond repair. Less expensive for the whole distributor than individual parts. zuhnc
