The floodings took place north of midland 2 different damns broke loose. One on a resort lake Wixsom lake was a nice all boat lake and is now a crick. The second damn that let go down river was at the Lake Sanford in the town of Sandford. the town is mid sized pictures show old highway 10 that goes through the town from clare to midland and there are 3 cars on the street and water to the door windows. Midland has flooding in down town area that is prodicted to be 9 ft deep before it peaks. Then the flooding goes farther down stream to the freeland west saginaw area as far as highway 46. I am in Rosebush between Mt Pleasant and Clare. Wife is in Midland hospital after a missed step to have some knee work done. No surgery do to flooding and they are evacuating to nursing care facilities and other local hospitals. But they are not finding enough beds for all patients. Less critical are being sent home. Wife is one to come home. This afternoon got a ramp built and some medical equipment that will make her stay a little better till probable surgery now scheduled next week. May have to get a boat to go get her most roads around the west side of midland are closed.
