Keith, I too am an auctioneer here in Illinois. Our license is $450.00 every two years plus 12 hrs continuing ed. I have been doing this part time since 1992. Thought about doing the same many times. But here in this state I am grandfathered in to sell Real property at auction. All new auctioneers after the licenses came into effect have to be a broker or realter. So with that said I keep it just to sell real-estate at auction. Hoping for that one big score. I have worked with the same guy since I came out of auction school in 93. World wide college of auctioneering in Mason city Iowa, what a good time that was. I like having my license better now that I can help anybody out doing anything I want. At one point I was helping out 4 different auctioneers. I would show up sell and leave. Kinda nice doing that. Maybe do that too. Just to keep you in the business. sure meet a lot on interesting people and sold some really neat and unbelievable stuff for Illinois. Matt
