I am mowing about 4 acres each week. We had been using 2 Cub Cadets and spending most of a day. I saw a JD F935 diesel with 72" deck at a dealer when I was picking up parts for a neighbor. It was from a city fleet that trade by age or hours. This had low hours. Price was right so I have used it over 15 years. Those are really nice mowers. Back in January 2020 on AuctionTime I saw a 2013 JD 997 zero turn, also a diesel with 72" deck. I thought about it a little and put in a bid. If it went at my price I would try it. After last call, it is mine for $3,000. I put on 2 new drive tires, changed the fluids and filters, and been mowing with it since. I agree. If it did not come with the suspension seat it would have one soon. But it does have that luxury. The F935 is good for reaching under apple tree limbs or reaching out over the edge of a small creek by our house. The 997 is a lot faster mowing on the flat.
