In Kentucky the farm land is assessed at ag value, the non ag land (residence and parcels less than 10 acres) at fair market. Roughly $1 per $1000. 1800 square foot house will get hit a shade over $1800 per year but 100 aces of crop land about $600 to $660 maybe less on an ag valuation of $66000 even though the fair cash may be $1.6M.
