I've only used Red Kote brand but I'm sure the Northern Radiator is a similar product. A day or so for the inside may not be long enough to dry. I ran an air hose in mine and let air blow into it at a very low pressure for a couple of days on mine. It needs ventilation somehow even if you only put a window fan blowing on it. Any trace of water could cause an adhesion problem with the tank liner.
When I did my tank I rotated the tank every angle I could, even coating inside the top. Any edge left untreated could allow gas to eat it's way under the liner and cause it to lift. It's been roughly a dozen years since I coated my tank and it's still holding.
