We have 3 kids who teach in public schools. All share they are now working harder than before teaching their regular students online, while now also overseeing homeschooling of their 7 school age kids and taking care of 3 preschoolers.
Agree schools are have reduced expenditures for transportation, utilities, sports, etc. But this represents only a small fraction of overall school budgets. Further, most schools here (NY state) were in financial difficulty BEFORE shutdowns commenced. (One large district is already $40 MILLION in the hole!) And the state cannot help as itself is now functionally broke.
Yeah I�d like to see a portion of my 2020 school tax bill returned. But it�s not gonna happen�
