This week was spent planting the spring wheat for my organic neighbor. There's quite a lot to this organic farming so even though it is only 40 acres, it took most of this week. Spread 2 different kinds of organic fert. One of which I had to go get 2 and 1/2 hours away. The other they have hauled in with a semi. Then work the ground then seed it then drag in the clover that is inter-seeded with it. Oh, also spent an hour pulling the tractor out that I got stuck in the mud. Sure glad I stuck at it though as we are forecast 5-8 inches snow tomorrow. That should be perfect for the freshly seeded wheat.
