I have two Farmall 140 tractors, both with 12.4 x 24 tires. Center of tire to center of tire measures 44 1/2 inches. Inside of tire to inside of tire measures 33 1/2 inches. Outside of tire to outside of tire is approximately 57 inches. With narrower tires, like 9 inch, one would have the same center to center but narrower in both inside of tire to inside of tire or outside of tire to outside of tire measurements. The tractor operator's manual shows 40 inch minimum tread width and 68 inch maximum tread width depending upon lug placement in relation to the wheel dish. Nine inch tires would require a narrower rim as there is minimal clearance now on my tractors with the 12.4 inch wide tires on a wider rim.
