Hi all, wrapping up construction on the pole barn. I put one overhead door on each opposite end so I could drive the hay wagon straight through for loading/unloading. I didn't account for sight slope and the exit door is about 2 feet above grade. The builder piled some excess stone there and was driving his kubota in and out but it is too steep for permanent use. I guess the length of the rock pile is about 4 feet max. the sight continues to slope gradually out from where the ramp would be. I figure i could either move that stone or add to it and build it out.
What should I do with this ramp? Is it ok to just keep piling stone there and maybe top it with flume or #53 to lock it together? what is a realistic slope and length of the 'ramp'? I want to be able to drive either the 8n or the ram2500 through there pulling the hay wagon. The truck has a large clearance due to the factory lift, maybe 15 inches or so.
