Something about the post bellow got me thinking. (dangerous) If lost, the open sickle sections are nasty dangerous. From the standpoint of livestock people, and tires. I made some CAD illustrations of a design I think would work well, while not being so mush of a liability. The blade is mounted into a groove in the handle/stick with epoxy (J.B. Weld Dev Con etc), after roghing up the glued area with a grinder to assist in bonding it in place. The blade is made from an old circular saw blade (not one with carbide teeth) cut with an abrasive cutoff wheel, or die grinder with cutoff wheel. The rubber flex tube has a slot cut in it so the blade can pass through when whacked into a twine. The whole thing can be made for the price of the rubber hose. and from one inch, to an inch and a half diameter. Just do not like hidden sharp edges to step on. Jim
