Classic English steam engine, but fitted engine and transmission from a Lanz Bulldog tractor. Common after WW2, the boiler on the steam engine probably needs major repairs, with no money to pay for them. Fitting another I/c engine keeps the steam engine available for driving other machinery, threshing separator,corn mill etc. Locally, two ploughing engines were fitted with engines from German U-boats in the same fashion, they were used to dredge lakes.
