The simplest things to check are the fuel filter, fuel lines, gas tank screens and the like. If you're getting a steady flow of fuel into the carb, then you have to look at the carb itself. This often requires buying a rebuild kit so you can take it apart and clean it.
There is also the possibility that you don't have a strong enough spark, and there is a whole separate troubleshooting tree for that.
