Yep. 22 years ago when I was last shopping for a truck, I wanted the 5 speed, but found a really good deal on a 2 year old model with an auto so bought it. Best decision ever. Has something over 300k miles on it and other than a few oil changes has never needed any work.
Easier to drive in traffic and easier to use off road than a stick. A bit less MPG is the only real downside I see. A bit slower than a stick, but how quick do need a pickup to be anyway?
