At the risk of being redundant, positive to positive, and negative to negative--the same as if you were hooking up jumper cables.
I did that years ago on a Chevy Impala I used to own. That thing would start no matter how cold it was! And if you gave someone else a jump start off it, the other car would just about lift off the ground!
